What happened
SeaRates has been discontinued
In late August 2026, DP World confirmed it is discontinuing SeaRates, the digital freight platform it acquired in 2020. SeaRates first launched in 2005, and many shippers and forwarders used it to look up containers across shipping lines.
“Our business priorities have evolved, and as part of the normal course of reviewing and simplifying our operations, we are no longer using the SeaRates business globally.”
If you used SeaRates to check where your containers are, you still need a way to do that. The Container Tracking App gives you live location and ETAs for containers on all major shipping lines.
